Unfortunately there are no Bluetooth 5.0 trackers as stated in the description, it is displayed in the app Bluetooth 4.0. But I still find these very practical. I have dealt with it a bit and found out how these work exactly, e.g. if the Bluetooth connection is lost, how you can reconnect it, what you have to do. Otherwise the app tries to access the device but does not work. Briefly explained, if the Bluetooth connection or the app does not run in the background or is completely closed, the device beeps for 30 seconds, 30x. Either you click on the device 1x so that the beeping is switched off. The most important thing now and corresponding is to reconnect the device to the mobile phone, you have to click on it briefly and then open the app and switch on Bluetooth. To turn it off completely and on you have to hold it for 3 seconds.

Work sometimes. If you walk away it loses Bluetooth connection and doesn’t instantly reconnect . Takes a few minutes to reconnect even if you’re right next to it which makes it hard to use the find your phone with the button.

To be clear, this item uses Bluetooth and an application to perform the location. So, it can locate within range of a phone running the application. As long as it is within range of a phone running the application, it can be located. So, you can use it to track your pet or some object, or a child, but if the tag is out of range of your phone, you can only locate it if it is within range of someone else’s phone running the application. An example of how you would use it, is to put the tag on your carry bag at the airport, or your handbag.
